ARLINGTON, Va. – [February 10, 2026] – The National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) awarded HEO USA Inc. a multi-year, seven-figure contract under NRO’s Strategic Commercial Enhancements Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) for advanced commercial remote sensing capabilities. This innovative acquisition approach marks NRO’s shift to multi-phenomenology solutions, including electro-optical (EO), hyperspectral imaging (HSI), radar, radio frequency (RF), and Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR), to deliver emerging technologies at the speed of mission and industry.
HEO USA has been selected for its specialized Non-Earth Imaging (NEI) capabilities. For its award, HEO USA will integrate its NEI-optimized in-space cameras and world-leading data processing and analytics suite with NRO’s collection architecture. This integration will deliver critical insights on space objects of interest, supporting national security missions in increasingly contested and congested orbital environments. Non-Earth Imaging provides a unique vantage point for characterizing satellites, monitoring on-orbit activity, and enabling responsible space operations. HEO USA’s systems are designed to deliver high-fidelity imagery and derived insights at scale, enhancing situational awareness for operators.
This contract represents a pivotal milestone for HEO USA, transitioning from proof-of-concept to operational integration with an agency renowned for pioneering space operations.
